The local rulers of Bodo-Kacharies discovered that the water of Dikom was unique, being sweet and tasty. Thus the rulers named the place DIKOM. Di or Doi, in Bodo language means water. No wonder, every cup of Dikom tea has a sweet after-taste. The sweetness is unique to teas produced by this estate, famous for consistently producing quality Orthodox teas from high quality clones like P126A, N436, S3A3, T3A3, CP1, Tenali 17.
