From the mountainous state of Assam in northern-east India, comes this fine GFBOP broken orange pekoe tea, from the native Camelia Assamica varietal. Full in body and strength with a rich amber liquor that is brisk and bright in the cup, boasting overall malt and cocoa tones.
Award winning Dikom Tea Estate is one of the oldest tea estates in Assam, dating to medieval times. The local rulers of Bodo-Kacharies discovered that the water of Dikom was unique, being sweet and tasty. Thus the rulers named the place DIKOM. Di or Doi, in Bodo language means water. No wonder, every cup of Dikom tea has a sweet after-taste. The sweetness is unique to teas produced by this estate, famous for consistently producing quality Orthodox teas from high quality clones like P126A, N436, S3A3, T3A3, CP1, Tenali 17.
Its tippy, bright and malty teas are famous all over the world.
