Dian Hong (Yunnan)
Why we want to share this tea with you
Yunnan province is renowned for its production of superb teas with flavour qualities distinct to its terroir.
Our Yunnan black tea is a very smooth and creamy black tea that contains a mixture of both the leaf and buds of the tea pick, with some golden tips present among the dark spirally leaves signifying it's quality.
What first enticed us to this tea was it's unique and complex aroma. Delectable notes of buttery biscuit give way to notes of cocoa, spice and wood. A very pleasant experience, which will certainly leave you wanting to explore this tea further.
Our Dian Hong exhibits a rich body and has a complex flavour profile very closely resembling it's aroma. The first flavours we noticed were that of biscuit toastiness and an overall profile of cacao. You can also expect notes of honey with some deeper earth notes and a slight woodiness.
We think this tea is perfect for the Autumn weather and is best enjoyed without milk to truly enjoy it's pure character. If you alsolike coffee, this is a tea that is sure to please.
