1st flush Guangxi Bai Hao Yin Zhen, more commonly known as Silver Needles white tea, is a magical tea. At first glance, you can see why this tea is so special. Made by plucking only the newest tea shoot, these plump buds are covered with a silver downy fur, releasing little silver sparkles into the cup.

The aroma of the dry leaf is very sweet and floral and makes a pale yellow liquid that is delicate yet viscous on the palate. Producing floral sweet flavour, becoming more vegetal on subsequent infusions. This tea provides an overall feeling of warmth and comfort, while cooling the body.

Our Yin Zhen is from Guangxi province in China and was harvested in mid-March. The early spring saw less rain fall and more sunshine, resulting in a higher quality tea. This tea is the least processed of the tea families and only undergoes a brief withering and drying process, creating a very pure tea.
