Moroccan Mint, the traditional drink of Morocco, was created when green tea was first introduced to a mint-drinking country. This cultural coincidence resulted in the perfect smooth and cooling tea. In Morocco, tea is drunk every hour of the day, consumption curbed only by the cost and often replacing meals for many.
Expect smooth and slightly umami notes, with fresh cooling smooth mint flavours. Cold brew and add fresh mint for a seriously refreshing iced tea in summer. Or serve seriously sweetened with cane sugar for a traditional cup.

Temp: 85C

Brewing Instructions (traditional)

However a good guide for serving 8- 10 persons is as follows:
Rinse the teapot with a cup of boiling water, swirl and discard.
Place 1 1/2 tablespoons of the tea into the pot along with a few sprigs of fresh spearmint and 100g of cane sugar.
Fill the teapot with 3 cups of boiling water from the samovar or kettle.
Leave to steep for 7-8 minutes, stir, pour a little into a small Moroccan tea glass, adding sugar if necessary.
The leaves may be re-steeped by adding an extra spoon of tea, a few sprigs of fresh spearmint and more sugar. The second infusion will be stronger and more bitter than the first.
